2000 - 2009 on reflection

For me, personally, many life changing things have occurred in the past 10 years. Due to work overload stress, I could not face the 9-5 (actually 7am to 7pm) grind anymore, and decided to work from home on my many Internet businesses. It was, and still is, very enjoyable and definitely the BEST decision I have ever made. My marriage of 30 years came to an end. I had to move out of the family home, a place where my two children grew up and a place that I had put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into. I had to ready it for sale and that was a killer. The memories were strong and had a profound effect on me, each time I drove away. It finally sold and the proceeds shared without any fuss and bother. I now live with my daughter in rented accommodation. The money received from the sale of the house allowed me to purchase my first ever, brand new motor vehicle. It was a Christmas present to myself this year. The money also has allowed me to expand my online business to include 41 domain names/websites I obtained at an Auction held by Ian del Carmen who owns Fireball Enterprises. These domains and websites will allow me to go in many different directions and all come with traffic and customers, making things easier for me. I also won a competition, first prize being a $25,000.00 complete online software business. Via the competition page, I met a fellow Aussie who is currently living in Ireland. We 'clicked' and have become online 'business partners.' She has an AWESOME outlook plus a very interesting life-story to tell, so we are co-authoring a book together. We are convinced that it will be a best seller. As you can see from the above, there has been some good and some bad in my life over the past ten years. I am sure you all have had similar ups and downs in your lives as well. I am stronger and more prepared for what lies ahead. I hope you are as well. The past ten years have been referred to as the 'Noughties.' What will the term be for the next ten years? Well, I put my thinking cap on and came up with the following... Everyone will be watching the TRENDS when it comes to the ECOnomy and the ECOlogy, so I came up with ... The ECOTRENDIES. (Remember you heard it here first!)
Before you rush off and try to register the Domain Name - http://ecotrendies.com - I have already secured it. I left the others for you to fight over. *smiles* So, my overview of the past 10 years would have to be summarised as being pretty good, all things considered. As for the next 10 years? I have a very good feeling that they are going to be AWESOME to the MAX! Keep your eyes open for me all over the Internet. I don't plan to be ''invisible' for much longer. HAPPY NEW YEAR to one and all from the eager and excited Aussie. May you all be happy and safe in all that you do, both online and offline. I wish you EVERY SUCCESS IMAGINABLE for 2010 and beyond. Quite some radical changes in your life. I'd like to see your astrology chart for what's up ahead, hoping that things will settle out for you. Sounds like you'll be immersed in writing and creativity. Hope you post your progress here.

A change is as good as a holiday, they say, even if it's a 'forced' holiday. If things settle down for me, it will probably mean I am in a straight jacket, tucked away in a room somewhere. I am enjoying the 'buzz' that I am currently experiencing and I will milk it for all it's worth. If you want to get a reading on me re what lies ahead, my birthdate is 09/09/1951 and I was born at 1 minute past midday in the Southern hemisphere. From MY view of things, the road ahead is filled with strangers who will become friends and partners in life's journey. YOU are now included in that journey. Welcome, new friend.
