Alternative to toasting ...
Don'tcha just hate it, when you make yourself a toasted sandwich and it's cold before you start to eat it? PROBLEM SOLVED! Make your normal sandwich as per usual, than PAN FRY it. Butter the outside of the top piece of bread, and place this side onto the pan at about a 4 setting. Once in there, butter the other side of the bread. Continually check the progress by lifting the sandwich with a metal spatula. When it's brown, like toast, FLIP IT OVER! Repeat the process until the other side is done to perfection. ENJOY YOUR YUMMY HOT FRIED SANDWICH! (PS - If you ever visit me, this is what I will offer you as a quick snack. *smiles*) |
