Breakfast
Medicos and dieticians always maintain that BREAKFAST is the MOST IMPORTANT meal of the day. Breakfast is usually a mini meal - cereal, porridge, toast, fruit, etc. Some people have bacon and eggs or sausages and eggs, which to me, classifies as more than just a mini meal. It supposedly gets your metabolism up and running and gives you energy to start your day on the right note. I, for one, CANNOT eat breakfast. For some reason, the mere thought of eating just after I have awoken, turns my stomach. I usually can't eat anything until around noon. Perhaps my body has been 'conditioned' to accept this, because I seem to manage OK. Usually I have a coffee or a cup of tea when I wake up, but this hardly constitutes having breakfast, as such. Again, I think that with my previous working hours, poor old breakfast just didn't fit in anywhere, so it got forgotten in my household. I just have never reintroduced it back into my way of life. |

I like your honesty, personally it takes me a while to let my stomach adjust to being awake too! I like to start my day with a cup of tea, then about and hour later I eat...mini meal - you guessed it Weet Bix! Good, wholesome and not stomach churning... I reserve Bacon and eggs and that kind of stuff to the afternoons!
