Microsoft bids for Yahoo takeover ...

On the 1st February 2008, Microsoft put in a bid to purchase Yahoo for the princely amount of US$50,000,000,000.00 - that's right - US$50 BILLION.

The approach was not expected by anyone in the Industry, least of all the operators of Yahoo.

If they accept, it is unsure what will happen to Yahoo in the future, but it can only be a positive step for Microsoft, otherwise they wouldn't have bothered.

Stay tuned.
