Right of reply ...
There are many situations these days, when accusations are made against people and they are given no right of reply, either by private organizations or by Government bodies. Being arbitrarily assumed as being guilty for whatever it is you are being accused of, is tantamount to dictatorship and should not be tolerated in our enlightened times. I thought it was innocent until proven guilty? Uninformed people, acting on sketchy assumptions or misinterpretations, can only harm society and those who strive to do the correct thing. Instead of assuming the worst about a person, give them the benefit of the doubt and perhaps ask their side of the story. In this way, confrontations can be avoided. |
